Just tried my Sony 850, it won't play CDRs, in fact it behaved downright wierd, attempting going through the "loading" process on random slots (despite the fact the player is completely empty)

 

All my other kit will play them, including my 8yr old Marantz CD52

On a similar note, has anybody ever successfully read a cdr (music or video
cd) on sony's MDP-CX850? Mine refuses to look at any I've created so far.
