*Thanks for everyone bearing with me whilst I get some help planning*

So onto walls, cavities, and cable routing

Knowing nothing about walls other than there are brick and cavity walls,
how
do I determine the routing from loft to ground??

Ideally I would like to route all cables up to the loft and then down to
the
garage to a comms cabinet. How can cables be routed from the loft -
through
first floor - and then downstairs? Is this purely down to my house layout,
or are there some standard house layout tricks that I don't know about?

Will my house layout determine this and whether the cables can be dropped
in
the cavity from loft to ground or whether I'll have to channel out the
walls?

What problems do floorboards vs chipboard floors present as I have heard
people saying they have chipboard floors and thus had to route in the wall.

Thanks again,
Dan: Wall-Thickie
