Any ideas as to what future proof cable I should put into a living
room/media centre?

My initial thoughts are just 4 cat5 ports, but thinking about this
now, I might go for 8. What should I be allocating cables for future
use for? Also, where is the best place to put these for now - all at
the same location (behind TV and AV stuff) or spread around the room?

Does anyone have any experience of specific rooms that they cabled up
with too few cables, but really need a lot more (office perhaps...)
or places that they though wouldn't need any, but realise they now
have a need for some there (bathroom???)

All help gratefully received.

Regards,
