Re: [OT] B****** Telecom (Again!)

Thing is, is this BT Openworld, or is it BT Ignite?

if it's openworld, feck em, and use someone else, like Internet for
Business, or Nildram.

if it's Ignite, then you could use another DSL network(*)

Ian.

(*) If you happen to be on one of the 200 lines in the ENTIRE COUNTRY (out
of >33,000,000) unbunbled through LLU so far.

Just got this from Darren....
http://www.silicon.com/bin/bladerunner?30REQEVENT=&REQAUTH=21046&14001REQSUB
=REQINT1=48039

Extract....
"BTopenworld has clamped down on customers using its DSL services for
bandwidth-heavy applications. Hardcore users of peer-to-peer networking
applications have found their BTopenworld DSL services running slower than
their old dial-up modems...."In response, in the short term we have
had to
impose traffic controls on particular applications and ports to ensure that
our customers retain their great internet experience."

So...if you use the Net tooooo much for Anytime buy our broadband service
(if you're one of the tiny percentage that CAN). Then when you do buy it
an
use it it's STILL too much for these twats. These guys are really takin
the
piss now!

M.
