Although I don't yet have my player (Graham, I WILL come and get it one
day - honest!) I was under the impression that there's only an RJ45 socket
for connecting to a LAN provided.

Connecting a wireless card would probably involve butchering internal
circuitry and reconfiguring the kernel for the appropriate drivers - that's
my guess.  In reality, unless you're a combination of Keith/Kieran/John T,
it's probably not possible!
