WinTV-NOVA-T USB or PCI

I'd love to have a fiddle with these new Hauppauge WinTV cards as=20
the idea of using my PC as a Tivo type device is tremendously=20
appealing.

Anyway, just browsing over the USB external and PCI internal card=20
options on their site. I imagine the USB traffic the external box=20
would generate would be pretty significant. I've generally shied=20
away from USB devices for high(er) bandwidth uses because of=20
high CPU usage. BT's USB ADSL modems seem to induce a=20
significant CPU hit for instance.

But I can't recall now if I have any free slots in my Server that I can=20
put one of these PCI bad boys in, ensuring it has its own IRQ.=20
Been a while since I dug around inside that box.

Just gandered a search on Google and looks like there may be a=20
fair price hit on the USB model. Dabs say =A3119ex for the PCI card,=20
=A3170 for the USB job.

Guess I'll have to figure out what free slots I have... ;)
