2.    I got BT to move my master to node 0 in the middle of the house, beside Comfort. I then duly replaced the BTmaster socket with a MK master socket enabling the  BT Master socket to be fitted after Comfort (Comfort require direct access to Master to control system, and uses another master after the alarm panel for house distribution)  (easier for running extensions from the BT box)....Do you think they will bother...
 
 
I have an old phone cable pugged into my master socket which goes to comfort, two wires from this go to tel in, the ringer wire just bypasses comfort to rejoin the two from comfort tel-out. This way the master socket is left as standard and you can just use an extension socket (or patch panel) behind comfort.
