Is there a market for kbd+mouse over cat5 then?

I would like to use an rf keyboard and mouse for tv-pc control, but the distance for the RF is too large to get a signal back to node0.

Is there anything available off the shelf, or would it be a candidate for a UKHA project?

Personally I didn't have too much luck with a combined Video/TV card and used a VGA-2-PAL  card from Maplin's which does the trick as well.

Looking at the reply from Paul, I could maybe provide the mp3 interface via the web, which then leads the door open to combining it with HomeSeer control from any TV inexpensively. (as long as the USB remote control works as it states)

I Get the feeling this is a really stupid Q.... but - i assume you'd use a
gfx card w/ TV out - then distribute it as normal - on a specific channel.
(Restricting you to 1 output for the entire house.. // or various TV outs on
different channels..)..

So whats the normal/integrated/easy way of doing that?

<cringes as he clicks send on the really stupid post....>

Matthew.
