That would be me.

I said use a 2 way switch.

That followed a message describing how to "break" the latching
cation so it
always returned to one state.

The point of a 2 way switch was that you didnt know if you would break it
to
be normally on or normally off.

Somebody mentioned using a change over switch instead of an on/off switch.
I can't see how
this would solve the problem which requires a momentary switch.  Using
common and one
terminal of a change over is equivalent to an on/off!
