Yes, well maybe,

I had one running over the 50m supplied and near 100m normal alarm wire on
drum. The picture was good, I did not compare against direct. presently I
run dvd round the house (bungalow) on normal cat 5 as well.

As a thought with no scientific backing, the screening is earthed. By
running the solid cables as earth (-ve), is this partial shielding ???
