That's the reference to the HAL.
 
Assuming your motherboard and BIOS is ACPI compliant, you can change to the ACPI HAL (but only by rerunning setup). You don't have to do a fresh install - doing an 'upgrade' is sufficient.
 
The instructions I gave you before should suffice.
