Careful though, any alarm panels that I have opened use 7Ah batteries. With
a UPS you'll be sending the current through an inverter with its inherent
losses, and a single 3.2Ah 12V (38.4W power for an hour) battery is not
capable of supplying that current at high discharge rates. As current
demand
increases then available capacity decreases. SLA batteries are rated at a
discharge rate of 0.1C, so the batteries you are looking at will supply 320
mA for 10 hours.
I've learned more about primary batteries than I'd care to admit in polite
company through my obsession with radio control models. Sad isn't it?
