It's actually a lot less portable and a pain if you want to use it upstairs
(or in any room that doesn't have a door to the outside world) but the
extra
cooling is well worth it!

A big plus for me was that I wanted to use it in my AV room where there are
likely to be reasonably high levels of noise and so with a split unit I can
have AC without sound leakage to the outside world via the vent pipes. (OK
-
I have to address the ventilation of fresh air seperately but this
shouldn't
be too much of a problem as I have a plan for that.)
