Would you move your incoming mains feed and electricity meter?
Would you relocate the incoming termination point for Cable TV?

Officially it is a job for Mr BT. You are not supposed to touch that part.
It is the demarcation point between the end of BT's line and your internal
cabling.

The one thing that I never knew when visiting customers premises was where
the incoming feed had been installed. I knew where it was when I visited. I
also knew if someone had bodged the relocation of it because invariable
they
had used bell wire, alarm cable or some other non telephone cable to do it.
I would have had no way of knowing that it had been moved if it was done
properly.....unless it was me that had fitted it.

Interpret the above as you see fit, but remember if BT get called out on a
fault because of something you have done you will be charged for the visit.
