Yep.
We could also have mains voltage inputs for control (opto isolated of
course) to allow for easy retrofite for people who cant do the whole rewire
thing, or who like Mark, Mike and several others have already wired mains
voltage back to banks of LD10's.

Sort of,
I think people might want to put the dimmer packs in other places,
they dont have to be in node 0, I my house I would fit them nearest
to the rooms I want to control. I did not home run all my lights back
to node 0 I had several nodes. Each pack would have one ethernet, the
way we are currently talking each pack would have a limit of 16 light
outlets, more if they were not dimable. The output packs would be
purchased on there own to make up the requirement so you would buy
one controler and enough output packs to cover the node.
So far as control, I can see two requirements RS485 (perhaps RS232)
from the pack to the switch run in cat5 OR switches home run back to
the pack for people who dont have cat5 at the wall outlet.
