I'm not clear why we need a dedicated device for Node 0 MP3 - since
there's a PC there already. I think the solution can be put together
using technology that's already available. Am I missing something?
DDAR is a different proposition, since it's a distributed solution.
If you want multi-zone, and are worried about CPU load, there are
those dedicated parallel port dongle MP3 decoders available.
If you want single zone, a bog standard PC will take it in its stride.
If you need IR control of a PC based solution, then get one of those
IR GIZMO gadgets from Keene.
If you need remote LCD status indication, wait for the ethernet LCD
project or knock up something from the net.
