Are you running any other software that uses IR/COM devices, eg Palm HotSync ? Check there are not conflicts with the com ports.

I got the blue screen, turned out to be a conflict with the HotSync software that was already installed. I now sync via IR, not COM1:

What version of Pronto Edit are you using? I've been using it for 12 months or more under Win2k with no problems.

Folks –

I just couldn’t wait – I went out and bought a Pronto 2MB instead of waiting for the Pronto Pro colour version promised later this year…. Just couldn’t bring myself to part with that much dough and thought the Pronto would be a good learning tool (and help me get rid of my “Remote Mountain” in the sitting room – getting a little grief from the girlfriend about that!)

Now to my problem…  Anyone out there running ProntoEdit with Windows 2000?  Since I’ve installed it I’ve been getting a strange series of the “Blue Screen of Death” – quite frustrating!  Win2K was pretty stable for me until I installed PE this afternoon…  Their page says it works on Win95, 98 NT “or higher”

Any pearls of wisdom out there?

Thanks!

Matt
