Folks

I recall a discussion a while back over the pros and cons of power (DC)
over
Cat5. I have looked on the archive and can't find it:(

can anyone either point me in the right direction or advise me of what you
can/cannot do.

In particular I want t run 12V t replace wall warts for various items,
15v
for my cctv cams and 24v for some sirens and other devices. Is this
possible, safe and sensible?

Thanks
Mick
