Just in case you hadn't considered it - why not use your HA PC with an PCI card in it as an internet gateway - saves the cost of an access point. Lets face it it is on all the time anyway.
 
I've used both PRISM and Lucent based cards, they are both pretty much the same - the diagnostic software is slightly better with the Lucent cards.

Anyone got recomendation for Access Point and card that will work in Epod, iPAQ and Win98SE laptop?
