N  I don't think so.  I agree that would be poor.

All of the recording will be done in the digital domain s  you will be able
to
record and watch the same or different things.

I'm sure there will be restrictions of some description on what you can
record though.
i.e. Pay Per View etc.  Perhaps just cant record or record and watch once
????

Does any one know if the unit has an archive feature for dumping contents
of
disk
to VHS as an  analogue signal or do you have to resort to recording on tape
whilst playing
back ?
