For those of us using the Win32 platform, I just found "Trillian"
www.trillian.cc

It truly wipes the floor with all of the other IM Clients.

This thing supports AIM,MSN,YIM,ICQ and IRC all in one client, with
global
status, messaging between platforms the works.

It's incredible, and looks t each client just like it's native
version..

Jenni couldn't tell I was using it in an MSN chat session

I have my ICQ, MSN and YIM id's set up in it already, and it
auto-imported
all my contacts. very slick.

I am just about t try setting up the IRC interface. if it presents IRC
int
the same messenger format, I might even use IRC!! :)

Ian.
