Whilst I agree in principle, I think the problem is more cultural. I
had a friend over from Boston at the weekend, and even though
Massachusets is one of the most expensive locations in the States, we
spent an evening comparing prices (as well as other Pub activities).

We were unable to find even a single product, service, ANYTHING, for
which we in the UK are not paying at least a forty percent rip.

I think that, Basically, the cost of doing business from start to
finish is ludicrously high in the UK. Couriers cost more, storage costs
more, comms cost more, etc etc etc.

I doubt that a single manufacturer is in any position to make much of a
change.

Ian.
