Paul,
Yes,
it I got it OK.
Just a
a couple of Q's for clarification:
The
input file has one line per character, yes?
And
should the output file should have one record per
filename?
To
make things easier (and faster), I've started writing a COM component in
C++
that will do the real work and we'll use a VBScript to invoke it. I was
wasting
time at work doing it but I'm on a training course until the end of the
week
("Requirements Management with Use-Cases" - coo!), so it might be the
weekend
before I finish it. Hope that's OK.
Cheers,
Steve
Steve did you get the direct email explaining the
script I need? if so did it make sense?
I'll take it on, if you like.
Do
I take it that you've managed to launch VBScript from HomeVision OK,
now?
Steve
Hi,
I am currently near to finishing
a project for HomeVision, that allows you to enter text, in a similar
fashion to a mobile e.g. 2 would equal A, 22 would equal B and so on.
it saves this text string in a txt document.
I would like to know
if any VBS scripters would like to code the picking up of the string
and making it search through a directory for mp3 files ( like a C:\Dir
c:\MP3\*chapel*.mp3) that type of thing, basically hooking into windows
search/find operation.
I have the format of the file and where/how
the output is to be presented.
any one want to have a
go?
Paul
