Most ISP's insist on you dialling in to try to prevent spamming.
Most ISP's will allow you to RETRIEVE email via POP3. What they dont allow
is SENDING SMTP from outside their domain. You dont say who the other ISP
is
but if it is BTInternet you can use post.btinternet.com or out.talk21.com
as
your SMTP server.
I use BTI as my ISP but retrieve POP3 from BTI, Freeserve, and DIYHA.CO.UK.
Whoever your ISP is should have an SMTP server. Setting this for OUTGOING
mail should work.

Subject: [ukha_d] OT: Web mail using outlook
Hi folks
I am looking for a POP3 mail service that is web based and I can use
outlook
2000 to connect to for send/receive. I don't want to have a size limit like
4 meg or similar either as I would fill that in a few days. I am happy to
pay a reasonable amount for this. The reason is that I hate my ISP's mail
service so I use Tesco. Tesco insist I connect to their ISP for sending so
they get a share of the phone call. I have a package giving me free
Internet
calls with the other ISP...... You can see the problem.
Any ideas???
Thanks
Ian
