Do you have HomeVision Mark?

Subject: [ukha_d] Automating the Central Heating

OK, it is finally time to look at this. This AD10 is looking very lonely so
want to get it online. System is a Combination boiler with an external
"programmable" [sic] electronic timer. The whole area seems to be powered
from a fused spur (Ugly switch on the landing can cut power to the boiler
(and I suspect to the alarm system!).

As with everything else I want to be able to unautomate if/when I move
house.

I wondered about using an AW10 to replace the Fused Switch or put inline
with it or something but I suspect this might kill the alarm and would mean
I have no hot water without any power to the boiler. So it looks like the
timer is the candidate. Seems to be wired in with alarm style wiring so I
imagine it is a case of removing the wiring from the timer and adding it to
the AD10. Or should I be combining the two in some way?

Any good resources on programmable timers or replacing them on the web?
Searched for a while tonight but didn't come up wuth anything and I know a
few people have been doing this recently so thought I'd ask about their
particular challenges and experiences.

Thanks,

Mark.
