I now need to add supply to the comfort expansion SEP01 and provide power for 16 relay controlled circuits. (Each relay has its own fuse)

How or what is the proper way i should do this ?

I would add a new FCU (fused connection unit) - just spur off an existing FCU with___2.5mm CABLE___

AFAIK there isn't a realistic limit to the number of FUSED SPURS you can take from a feed.  When spurring from a socket on a ring main, you are only allowed the one spur which must only feed one socket (unless it is fused).
