I offer a suggestion and everyone comes up with obstacles :-(

 

New solution.....have all your washing sent to the laundry and get the operative to phone you when its done :-)

 

Plus points....

    No washing machine to break

    High WAF as SWMBO will have less work to do

 

Minus Point...

    Perpetual drain on Gadget finances.
