Re: Concept PC-Remote

Funny I was just talking to Concept Devices (www.concept-devices.com) the other day and they mentioned they were developing a new device that would be IR receiver (PC Commander) and IR transmitter (PC Remote) all in one!

I though this would be of great interest to many UK HA'ers as well as HomeSeer users all over.  I'm CC'ing this message to Concept to see if they can tell us if the new device will work under Windows 2000.

Subject: [ukha_d] Concept PC-Remote

Mark, - ISTR some time ago you mentioned that Concept were considering
producing a Win2K version of the PC remote (or Win2K compatible drivers for
the current one...)

Do you know if anything has (or will ever) come of that? - I'd still like to
get a IR capability on my Homeseer machine, but I am NOT prepared do
downgrade from Win2K...

Failing that, does anyone have any experience of either of the
shareware/freeware Win2K I/O drivers which would allow Win2K to use parallel
port devices? (I'm thinking of the "Tinyport" and "Userport" utilities from
here: http://www.lvr.com/parport.htm)

Cheers.

Paul G.
