Would a relay not do

I forgot to mention...

I orginally wanted to use the ViaAccess Proximity key system. I have
two that I bought from Mike.

These however only give 12v when key is held up. Would be great if I
could invert that, so that 12v went through all the time, but when
the key was held up, it went to 0v.

Wonder if Keith has any ideas on that ?
