Our washing machine is in the cellar under the kitchen and wifey has to go outside and down a flight of stairs to get to it. It suddenly occured to me that if i could have some announcement or chime on comfort when the wash was done that this would get me at least a 100 WAF points.

Has anyone done this using the current sensors ? I see the main problem that its one of those digital machines and therefore uses some current even when finished and i guess this is more than 100mA the sensors require.

Any thoughts ?

Steve.
