Thanks for the response Keith...quality isn't that important as the prime
use is for announcements. I prefer to keep music and announcements
seperate.
I believe I understand your advice about wiring them in parallel like
this..........

AMP               SPK        SPK       SPK          SPK x 8

.....and then the same for the other channel if stereo.

But I am not sure what you mean by switching them in and out, that will
change the impedance won't it? I thought you had to worry about that?
