With current voice recognition I suggest you pay someone 24x7x365 to sit
in the loft and type/click the commands in when you say them ;-)

ok - I've installed HomeSeer. I have a server in my loft, and I'd like to
use voice recognition and text to speech.

So - where do I start ? Any recommendations for microphone and speakers,
and placement, and shielded cable types ?

It just seems so easy !

Thanks

G.
