Trouble is that whatevr I plug into the BT box has leads to plug in at node
zero so I save nothing by relocating (infact ISDN TA gives me three
analogue
lines so I would be worse off).

This certainly sounds the way to go, no more wiring, no relocating and I
gain a port.
