Title: RE: [ukha_d] Lower Lower Price on
DDAR
I use SoundJam MP3 with medium-high VBR. I have
plugged my empeg into my next door neighbours _very_ expensive home stereo
set-up. This guy is quite crazy about home audio, using £1000 per sq.
metre interconnect cable!!
Anyway, results were stunning, back to back listening (not
blind I will add) of a track on CD and a track on the empeg revealed no
perceptible differences in quality. His home audio setup does sound
very nice indeed.
M
P.S. A lot is in the encoding, get it wrong or use a
poor encoding engine (can't comment on LAME) and you will not be happy with
the results.
