The option I had open to me after redecorating - "Do NOT touch those
bloody
walls!" were to say the least limited as I also have solid floors. The
simplest suggestions put to me on the list were;
Remove Skirting board and fit behind the skirting. Plasterers rarely go all
the way to the fllor as they know skirting has to go on. You should have
enough of a gap there to put in some of the cable into.
