I use Mdaemon which has built in list handling capabilities - it also has
the option of adding a number to the end of the subject signifying in which
order the messages arrived - useful if you're trying to follow a thread
logically,

I may go the cable route which means it could be runn ing fairly soon, it's
just that I have to get a business account to do that :-( which is a little
more expensive .. but what the hey...you only live once ...
