I have not joined in this thread until now, because my Grundig digibox has
not had any real problems of loss of sound or reboot requirements - just
the occasional mosaic effects associated with most digital video.
However when I returned home today, I found that I couldn't receive any Sky
programmes.
A call to the customer services revealed that my card had been blocked.
Why? because I owed them my monthly subscription.
I have only had Sky installed for a month and had completed the direct
debit forms - so what went wrong.
It turns out that their "computer" was expected my payment on the
14th of
Jan. It had not yet received the cash and so decided to block my card
(seems logical - NOT ?????)
Which just goes to show that no matter what label you have on the outside,
Sky are still not that great!!
