RE: MultiRoom Video

Some of the HDMI Matrix over CAT5/6 system allow to transmit HDMI +
Digital,
so you could use digital outs from Sonos boxes for Audio ?

>Happy to control via IR and don't need any fancy touch-screens

There's nothing we NEED on UKHA, but still we must have these things :)

Subject: [ukha_d] MultiRoom Video

All

I am officially confused and cant see the wood from the trees!!!!

I am trying to work out the best way to do Multiroom video with the house.
I
am using Sonos for the audio.

I guess I want to supply 4 rooms with both Video (HDMI) and audio (2
Channel
or 5.1)

Sources will probably Sky and AppleTV

In an ideal world if I am using a source that is 5.1 the system would
output
5.1 in a zone with 5 speakers and then down mix to 2 Channel in rooms with
only 2 zones.

I have a new Denon AVR Amp that is currently supplying the Lounge TV.

Happy to control via IR and don't need any fancy touch-screens.

I could use a HDMI Matrix Switcher but cant see how to do the
audio/speakers.

Help?

Ben
