After living with the Sony box for a week, I have to report that Sky sends
out differing bit rates.

I get 48k on the standard TV channels, and either 43k or 44.1k on the Open
interactive pages.

Does 48k imply that the sound is better than CD, or does the embedded copy
protection take up the extra K's?

Steve

Hey, Mr Sky installer just hooked up my new Sony receiver.

I connected the digital sound output to my Yammy A2, and hey it works: 44K
PCM sound, no soggy analogue cables for me then!

Now if I could just get S-Video out of it as well.......

Steve
