Thanks for the responses, I think I will go with just the DIN rail lamp
modules, no appliance ones and will not bother with 'lamp sockets' as we
really don't have many lamps and I do have a few plug in lamp modules. The
next question relates to the subsequent removal of the X10 functionality if
we were to move. Is a case of removing the DIN rail modules and replacing
the momentary switches with normal switches or is it more complex than that
? Also, exactly what do I need in terms of consumer units, how do 'trip
switches' work with DIN modules ? Where is a good supplier of consumer
units
that work well with DIN rail modules ? Also the electrician has no
experience of X10 (but we have used him before so I am happy with his
standard of work) what if anything should I be asking him to do that is out
of the ordinary ?
