Drill from both sides, use a sharp bit, drill a pilot hole first, don't
press hard, and take your time!

Drill a pilot hole (3mm or less) first, then drill from the front,
part way through, then turn the plate over, so the front face is
firmly against a solid surface, and finish the hole.

The plastic plates are brittle though, so do take your time to avoid
breaking 50% of them!  Try to make the hole in a flat piece of plastic-
there are strengthening ribs on the back usually, which get in the
way when you're fixing the phonos to the panel.

If you're doing more than 5, it's probably cheaper to buy a 'trade pack'
of 10...
