This month's Scientific American has a short article on
some research at the Georgia Institute of Technology
into building a high-tech home.

They're looking at a higher level of functionaltiy than
most home automators would be I think, but the article
lists a lot of clever ideas that I'm sure we'll start to see
people doing in the future, as well as covering some of
the social implications.

It's an interesting read, even if just to be amazed at
how much hardware they can pack into one house :-)
