Hi all

The motor drives the chord via a large rubberised drive wheel. I
would not say that you have to have a great deal of tension on the
pole and it is a adjustable.

The biggest problem I have found is tie backs. I purchased some
special hooks from the Swish automated range, but the tiebacks do not
seem to come off properley and then the motor starts to slip and then
they are out of alignment and then bugger. If anyone has a fullproof
idea of how to release them as the curtains close please let me know.
