Like Ray, I am also relatively new to HA, but think that a get together
would be a very good think. Email is fine for simple communications but
does not really allow good prorogation of ideas.

My only real comments are that a one-off meeting may be fun, but what would
it really achieve. If the aim is only to put a face to a name then all well
and good. But if the aim to create a regular meeting/forum then perhaps
some objectives should be set. If people are spending time and money to
travel then perhaps this should be considered.

Boring I know, but just a thought.

The other comment is that perhaps as part of the exchange of personal
details, we could also give some indication of technologies we have and
specific interests (eg. X10, Comfort)

Clive

Hello guys,
I
- am a bit new to all this e-group stuff but have joined and read with
great interest
- am not an engineer (I sell Life Assurance & Pensions etc. thought
I'd better get that out of the way early on.)
- am looking forward to getting into HA when I move house (hopefully
before Xmas)
- think it would be a great idea for a meet-up (at an exhibition or
otherwise)
- would like to ask you collective opinion about meeting somewhere near
a Travelodge or the like. Aren't they a bit cheaper than hotels etc.??
