Yep, I bought one of these a few months ago - what can I say, it works,
and for the price it's pretty good value. image quality is OK, not
fantastic, but certainly as good as any other low-cost camera I've seen.
Actually it's pretty good during daylight (as one would expect) but in
total darkness mine might be suffering from a problem of "too
much"
light?? - the camera has a circle of IR LED's around the lens to provide
illumination for the camera in darkness, but it's also positioned
immediately below my PIR activated porch light, and I think the CCD
might not like that level of illumination too much?? However, even in
darkness it still works just fine, and I'm perfectly able to recognise
callers at the front door at night. The microphone part does actually
work pretty well - speech is perfectly clear and intelligible on my TV.
The cable supplied is about 100feet, with a fitted SCART plug. The SCART
also has a short flylead to plug the supplied AC adapter in, so only 1
cable goes back to the camera.
If you wait until Homebase has one of their occasional 10% of everything
days (as I did) then you can pick this up for about £42 (ish - I think I
paid about that for mine...) at which price, it really is pretty good
value.
Regards.
