The silent-pc yahoogroup have come as close as you'll ever get. The
easiest
way to do silent is a diskless workstation using a C3 chip, no PSU fan and
network booting. Of course it gets more tricky if you like to use Windows,
or need a power system. My machine will be 100% silent (see sig).
