Paul - do you mean the Sky box doesn't respond to the remote, even with the
Kat5 units completely out of the equation?

You haven't changed your TV have you? Sounds like one possibility is that a
new TV (especially LCD) could be blasting out spurious IR interference
which the Kat5 IR is transmitting and blocking the Sky remote. That's a
problem I have here but not got around to fixing yet.
