Any grade of CAT5 or CAT6 is fine but CAT5e is by far the most popular
choice. No need fro screened CAT5 at all.

Screened CAT5 has a slightly higher capacitance which will attenuate the
higher frequencies more than unscreened CAT5. This means the maximum
distance will be reduced slightly but in a domestic environment you will
not
notice any diffence except that installing a screened CAT5 infrastructure
will reduce the size of your bank balance more quickly!
