[KAT5] CAT5e type - shielded or unshielded?

I am about to rewire my house and I know that some equipment requires
screened CAT5e to work.

I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions:

1. What grade of cable does KAT5 require?

2. If it does not require screened CAT5e cable, will installing
screened cable effect the quality of KAT5?
