RE: KAT5 & IR

Hi Nick,

I will probably use the next size up from the current range of boxes. They
are slightly large at 135 x 135 x 51 mm and are available in black or grey.

The upgrade board will be a proper PCB that will plug into the original
board. Fitting it will be a case of soledring some connectors into existing
holes on the PCB and carefully pushing the new board onto them. A hole will
have to be drilled in the end plate for the 3.5mm socket. Full instructions
will be supplied along with a sticky label to mark the drilling point on
the
end plate.

Subject: Re: [KAT5] KAT5 & IR

Thanks Keith,
2 things:
1) In my opinion if you can only source a white box, then I dont
think that would stop you selling units.
2) Whilst I'm sure you want to capitalise on selling the IR upgrade
units, would you consider releasing the circuit diagrams, relevant
instructions etc so those interested could make up their own? This
might of course be unrealistic depending on complexity - I think
you'd need to be able to use Veroboard, also not too many changes to
original units. Also you'd need to do it on an agreed "no
support"
basis - those of us impatient enough to do this would need to not
bother you with timeconsuming problems - I'm sure we all want to see
the Mk2 units & switcher getting your available time &
attention.

Nick
